Volunteering SA&NT has had a mighty year! Despite COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, we welcomed 88 new members, supported 1255 VIOs and 17,126 volunteers, ran 21 successful programs and contributed to many sector projects. Read more

It is a very exciting time as we head towards National Volunteer Week (16-23 May 2022), a time when we can all come together to celebrate volunteering. There will events in Alice Springs and Darwin, and for the first time we are pleased to be partnering with NT Police, Fire and Emergency Services (NTPFES) in their WOW (Wear Orange on Wednesday) celebrations in Darwin. We are talking with volunteer involving organisations to ascertain current issues and concerns. Our Volunteering Matters Forum was held last month with over 80 participants sharing their valuable insights and experiences on the current state of volunteering here in SA. We are now busily collating this feedback and developing learning and development resources to support as many organisations and volunteers as we can. Read more
