Chair
Ann-Marie Chamberlain
Ann-Marie joined the Volunteering SA&NT Board in 2017 and was appointed as Chair in 2019. Ann-Marie brings in excess of 35 years of experience in Banking and Wealth Management at Senior Executive levels with National Australia Bank. As well as her roles with Volunteering SA&NT, Ann-Marie is an Executive Coach, a Non Executive Director with Police Credit Union, Trustee for Kalyra Communities and a member of the Culture, Nomination and Remuneration Committee for Bedford Group. Ann-Marie is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, AGSM & UNSW Business School, a Telstra Business Woman’s Award winner and a recipient of a Centenary Medal for Leadership.

Deputy Chair
Kristen Martins
Kristen has been running her own consulting company for six years where she specialises in Human Resources and Business Development. She services many clients from a variety of sectors including an Aboriginal not-for-profit organisation where she works in both South Australia and Northern Territory. Her client base includes small, medium and large organisations around their people and business development strategies, focused on business growth and diversification. She previously held the role of Executive Manager at Scope Global, and Kristen brings valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities volunteering brings to communities throughout the world from her exposure to the Australian Government’s Volunteers for International Development (AVID) Program. She has worked in the international development sector for many years as well as holding commercial roles in the human resources and environmental services industries.

Deputy Chair
Mike Feszczak
With over 15 years’ experience in the SA volunteer and not-for-profit sectors as a volunteer, volunteer manager and advocate, Mike is currently the CEO of Grandcarers SA, a not-for-profit providing support services to full time informal carers of their grandchildren or kin’s children. He has held state-wide roles to support the development of volunteering including member of the Ministers Advisory Group on Volunteering, Working Group Chair of the Volunteering Strategy for South Australia, Chair of the Local Government Volunteer Managers Network, and member of the Volunteer Management Committee for the National Volunteering Strategy. Mike has extensive networks across South Australia, is passionate about volunteering and volunteer management, and is looking forward to contributing to the future of volunteering across the sector.

Simon Bennett
Simon’s career has spanned a number of senior leadership roles in financial services in Australia and South East Asia. He is presently the non-executive Chair of a financial services business in Indonesia, following almost 10 years as the organisation’s CEO. Simon is also a volunteer business coach and mentor assisting in the development of young managers and entrepreneurs. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Management together with an MBA from Monash University.

Paul Liew
Paul is a legal practitioner in South Australia, and has worked in areas of licensing and registration, regulatory work, compliance, investigative and enforcement acquired through Consumer and Business Services in the Attorney-General’s Department of the Government of South Australia. With an earlier background in accountancy, Paul has also worked overseas in events, commercial sponsorship finance and management roles. Paul lends his professional skills and experience for not-for-profit causes include housing homeless young people and as a volunteer solicitor with JusticeNet SA. Paul is also the treasurer and partnership director for the Singapore Business and Social Association. His appointment to the Board comes after joining as a Finance Risk and Audit committee member in 2018.

Kate Preiss
Kate is passionate about supporting volunteers, and has extensive connections and community-based experience. She is currently Executive Officer with Carers and Disability Link, and has worked within the NFP sector at executive level since 2013 and within senior management for 17 years. Kate has held several board positions and is a current member of the VSA&NT Strategy and Governance Advisory Committee. Kate’s professional experience in senior management has given her a strong understanding of the needs of government, business, the not-for-profit sector and local communities. Kate is strategic and outcome focused and will promote quality support and vital opportunities for communities.

Andrew Turner
Representing Volunteering NT on the Board, Andrew has lived and worked across the Top End of the Northern Territory for over 30 years. As an experienced Director of Operations, Andrew has a demonstrated history of working in the government, administration, land management and emergency management fields. Andrew is currently Chief Fire Control Officer, Bushfires NT where he oversees operational capacity and resources as well as volunteer management. Andrew has an active interest in local government (as an elected member of Coomalie Shire Council), the volunteering sector and community development (Variety NT Board Member).

CEO
Hamilton Calder
Hamilton is a well-respected and highly motivated hands-on leader with proven experience in stakeholder relations, strategic communications, and membership and events management. Bringing together key leaders and influencers, he has delivered better social and environmental outcomes for all. Previously Hamilton led the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA) in South Australia and the Northern Territory for 14 years, and undertook various national roles including CEO, Company Secretary and Director, Partnerships and Collaboration. Prior to CEDA, Hamilton held senior roles within policy, public affairs and economics with the RAA, Business SA, WorkCover and Department of Premier and Cabinet. With a keen interest in the community, environment and social justice, Hamilton sits on several voluntary boards including the Crescent Institute of SA (Founding Chair) and SA Leaders for Gender Equity.
