You’ll also be part of the national body
As a member of Volunteering SA&NT, you’ll receive complimentary Associate Membership of Volunteering Australia, unless you opt out. Associate Members are organisations or individuals who are current members of their State or Territory volunteering peak body.
You are not required to pay any additional fees or contribute any costs and expenses in relation to Volunteering Australia.
While Associate Members do not have voting rights at general meetings of Volunteering Australia. What you are able to do is:
- Access, use or utilise services made available by Volunteering Australia
- Participate in policy work
- Provide input into the strategic plan
- Receive notice to attend and speak at general meetings (conditions apply)
Associate Membership also includes the ability to raise any issues of national significance via their State or Territory peak body to
- Influence the national policy agenda on volunteering,
- Support the work of the Volunteering Australia by participating in local advocacy,
- Receive policy analysis and stay up to date with our national volunteering advocacy work,
- Receive notice, attend and speak at general meetings of Volunteering Australia, except in relation to matters which are subject to reserved voting rights.
