CHSP Sector Support and Development
Commonwealth Home Support Programme – Sector Support and Development (CHSP SSD)
The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), funded by the Australian Government, Department of Health and Aged Care, helps older people stay independent and in their homes and communities for longer.
CHSP Sector Support and Development
Volunteering SA&NT supports CHSP service providers with their volunteer involvement by:
- Assisting CHSP Providers with role creation and free advertising of volunteer positions. Our advertising platform is connected to Seek Volunteer and Go Volunteer and we also upload CHSP volunteer positions to Freddy Match as part of an ongoing collaboration between our Sector Support and Development and Freddy Match
- Designing and delivering Learning and Development (L&D) opportunities for providers and for CHSP volunteers. Providers can co-design specific L&D with our CHSP SSD Team for their volunteer cohorts
- Hosting and administrating the Community Transport Volunteering Network, and co-hosting the National CHSP Volunteering Network with Volunteering Tasmania. Please contact us for information about how to join these networks
- Collaborating with other Sector Support and Development providers to share resources and information, as well as developing and sharing volunteering resources with providers
- Creating free webinar and podcast recordings about volunteer involvement in aged care
- Promoting current CHSP volunteer positions at volunteering and other expos
- Assisting CHSP providers with volunteer recruitment, management, and recognition.
Community Transport Volunteering Network
The Community Transport Volunteering Network, originally the Community Transport Working Group, was formed in 2018 as a collaboration between Volunteering SA&NT and the Eastern Collaborative Project.
The network currently meets bi-monthly to share information, resources and support through the aged care reform process, with a focus on volunteering. If your organisation is a provider of transport with the Commonwealth Home Support Programme, and you would like to join this network, please email.
Advertise your CHSP volunteer roles
Volunteering SA&NT is collaborating with FreddyMatch to give CHSP funded organisations an additional platform for advertising their volunteer positions.
FreddyMatch focuses on potential volunteers and considers their interests, skills, and availability to identify opportunities that match their profile.
